Bring some Winter colours and texture into your life with art.
We’ve had a beautiful autumn here, and yesterday brought the first soft fall of snow—a reminder of how lucky we are to experience real weather, and the changing seams between seasons. These quiet transitions are something I love to notice, celebrate, and translate into my work.
My art begins in these moments of attention: the subtle shifts in light, the hidden worlds beneath the surface, the way nature reveals itself as an interconnected whole. Through layered mark-making, organic forms, and playful experimentation, I explore the relationships between land, memory, and stories.
I invite you to slow down with me— to look closely, to get curious, and to find wonder in the small, living details around us. This is the heart of my practice, and the thread that runs through everything I create.
Take a pause, reflect, enjoy!
I am intrigued by the human connection with the natural world, and how we are affected by it. The hidden intricacies of nature fascinate me, such as the details of communication between plants, the co-dependancies between wildlife, plants and microscopic life.
The more I discover the background science the more it draws me in and I would love to share with you some snippets and these new insights that inform my work. Please see the footer below with a sign up form for occasional news.
Zoom in and take a closer look at the deeper layers of texture, colour and details.
